Tamu in the district on the same two days

A visitor coming into Kota Kinabalu for the bazaar has listed tamu on both of those mornings. The Gaya Street Sunday Market listing covers the Sunday: the whole street is closed to traffic for a market of arts and crafts, batik sarongs, fruit and flowers, local snacks and cakes, antiques, souvenirs and herbs Sabah Tourism Board. Published times for it differ, which is worth knowing before setting out: the Sabah Tourism Board gives 6am to 1pm and also 6am to 2pm Sabah Tourism Board, while a 2025 Bernama report gives 7am to 1pm Bernama.

For the Saturday, the Tamu Inanam listing is the nearer option, and its day is unsettled: the Sabah Tourism Board tamu list puts it on Saturday Sabah Tourism Board, while a 2016 community list and a reader comment on it say the Inanam town tamu runs every ten days instead, which would not fall on a fixed weekday Sabahan.my. Asking locally before travelling out to Inanam is the safer course Sabahan.my.

Anyone in the city earlier in the week can instead use the Tamu Telipok listing, which gives Thursday from the same Sabah Tourism Board list, with no second source confirming it Sabah Tourism Board. None of the three listings carries a confirmed list of what each tamu sells, so a shopper cannot be promised a particular food in advance Sabah Tourism Board. The Kota Kinabalu district page sets out the city's other markets, the waterfront Central Market among them, where seafood, produce, tropical fruit, spices and traditional food are sold Sabah Tourism Board.
