Privacy

If you send a suggestion, we receive the name, email address and message you enter, by email, so we can reply. We do not sell it or add you to a mailing list.

“Near me” uses your browser’s location only after you press it and grant permission. It is used on the page to sort results and is not sent to us or stored.

Maps are drawn with tiles from the OpenStreetMap tile service, so your browser requests images from its servers when a map is shown. Directions links open Google Maps.

If you choose a language, a small cookie remembers it so the site opens in that language next time. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.

Disclaimer

Listings are researched from public sources, each cited on the page, and checked on the date shown. Tamu days, hours and sites can change without notice, and some sources disagree.

Please confirm locally before a long journey. Tamu Borneo is not affiliated with any district council, the Sabah Tourism Board or any trader.

Food descriptions, including notes about pork and alcohol, come from the cited sources. Always check with the seller if you have dietary or religious requirements.

The images are generated illustrations. They are labelled and are not photographs of any particular tamu, trader or product. Any licensed photograph is credited on the image credits page.
